The Bode Museum

The Bode Museum, originally Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum, received in 1958 the name of his long-time director Wilhelm von Bode. Also from 1898 to 1904 by Ernst von Ihne Neobarockbau was built during World War II heavily damaged. Only in 1904 the museum was reopened. Since 19 October 2006, the entire Bode Museum and the Sculpture Collection, the Museum of Byzantine Art, the Numismatic Colletion and works from the Art Gallery is again open to the public.
